The Object: This mug defines Wabi-sabi. The red-brown stoneware is rough, textured, and unapologetically raw. Covered in rows of hand-written black calligraphy—blessing scriptures—it looks less like a product and more like a sacred scroll turned into stone. The heavy, tactile handle invites a firm grip.
